How to Read a PrimeRx Claims Report
Short answer
A PrimeRx claims export has the supported fields used by the analyzer: date filled, BIN, group when present, NDC, and amount paid. Direct patient identifiers are prohibited, and exact columns vary by export configuration.
The columns that matter
- Date filled: groups claims into the correct month and daily trend.
- BIN (and group): identifies the payer so you can view the right book of business.
- NDC: matches each claim against the aberrant-product list.
- Amount paid: drives the dollar test and room remaining.
Exporting cleanly
- 1.Export the generic dispensing / claims report with all insurances selected.
- 2.Keep the raw headers; you do not need to rename columns for PharmaFix.
- 3.Save as CSV or TSV.
Column cheat sheet

| Group | GROUPCNP, RX GROUP | Optional payer subset breakout |
| NDC | NDC, DRUG CODE | Aberrant-list matching (11-digit form) |
| Amount paid | PRIINSPAID, AMOUNT PAID | The dollar test and room remaining |
Scope and limitations
This article is general product information, not legal, clinical, contracting, audit, or dispensing advice. PharmaFix uses the supported fields and bundled reference data described in the product; it does not speak for any payer or guarantee that a payer will calculate or act the same way. Review current network documents and obtain professional advice where appropriate.

Common mistakes
- Exporting only one insurer when you meant to review the full book.
- Filtering out rows with unreadable dates or amounts by hand and skewing the totals.
- Mixing two months in one file without noticing the test resets monthly.
How PharmaFix helps
PharmaFix reads the raw PrimeRx export directly, matches columns automatically (including header variants), and flags rows it had to set aside for a bad date or amount, so you understand exactly what went into the number.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to rename PrimeRx columns?
No. PharmaFix matches common PrimeRx header variants automatically. Upload the export as-is.
What if the file spans two months?
The 25% test is read per month. PharmaFix shows the latest month and sets aside rows from earlier months, telling you how many it moved.

Current checkout is test mode. Upload only an authorized PrimeRx or Caremark report without direct patient identifiers. PharmaFix calculates report-based rates and is designed not to retain report rows or results.
